Every single thing that you do on your computer uses memory. from wallpaper to desktop icons, from mouse movements to clicking. Now, Let's talk about optimizing your PC performance. Find your My computer Icon and right click on it. Go to properties then Advanced Tab and click the Settings. On the Visual Effects Tab (where you're at right now). There are 4 radio buttons and you can choose which one you want. For slower PC you can choose Adjust for best performance, For Fast and Awesome Computers you can choose Adjust for best appearance. You can also choose Custom or Let Windows choose what's best for my computer. Im using Custom right now with Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop checked.
